I am super behind of posting some of my favorite weddings. Over a year ago I had the opportunity to photography my dear friend and former wedding colleague Aimee and her man Trey’s wedding in Santa Cruz, CA . Aimee is the owner of Hollyhock Cakes which used to be in Seattle. She is now in the San Francisco area. She was my favorite baker and had THE BEST GLUTEN FREE Mixed Berry Tiramisu! She made my wedding cake back in 1998 as well as countless other cakes for special occasions. I was finally able to finally repay her by photographing her wedding to Trey. Their small wedding was a wonderful mix of family and friends. It was held in her parents back yard which was beautifully decorated with handmade paper and real flowers as well as fruit trees. Aimee and Trey are in the band called Vishnu’s Secret. Trey is also a Bhutto Dancer and came in costume to the wedding. The wonderful orange suit was made by Jeanne Henzel Swartz of Form and Function Designs. The cape was collar were made in collaboration by Bruce G. Lee with assistance from Jeanne Henzel Swartz. Aimee’s Corset was made by Seattle seamstress and pastry chef Jay Moniz. Her skirt was a vintage 1930’s silk wedding gown found at a tag sale. The catering for the wedding was done by Celeb Chef Jozseph Shultz for India Joze. Handmade Chocolates were abundant and made by David Jackman of Chocolate. The Croquembouche was handmade that day by Pastry Chef Carolin Messier owner of The Harvest Vine and Txori. It was a beautiful day!
