Bellamy and I go way back. We met while I was photographing an event for Seattle International Film Festival’s Women in Film about 10 years ago. We started chatting. Bellamy looked like an important person to photograph that night. Bellamy is a reporter for KPLU. We became great friends. She met Michael when she hired him to prune the walnut tree outside her apartment in the University District in November, 2007. He owns Standing People Tree Care. The rest is history. Their wedding was held in her fathers amazing back yard in Olympia. They were to have their ceremony under the huge walnut tree in the back yard. Unfortunately, it poured with rain. Luckily, they planned well and had a huge tent! Everything happened under the tent, with the exception of the tree cutting ceremony. (A German tradition that displays teamwork). Everyone had the pleasure of listening to Dar Williams, an old friend of Bellamy’s and Cyndia Sieden, famous Soprano Opera Singer and Step mom to Bellamy sing at the wedding. Bellamy had am amazing team of people helping her with this wedding. It was a very Do it Yourself wedding. The list of vendors is below.
