A few years ago, after my trip to France I also ventured to Italy. Upon recommendation of my college friend Raffaella’s mom, Gisella (who is a private Italian chef). I stopped at the Azienda Agrituristica Tourismo. This is located about an hour from Salerno. Cecillia Baratta is the owner and a private chef too. I took a private cooking class from Cecelia and she showed me around Paestum, which was an ancient Greek city with really cool ruins. There is a lot more information on their website about the area and history. Cecelia makes everything from scratch. The farm grows most of their produce as well as raises Buffalo to make mozzarella. It was a really great experience. Cecelia and her family are huge dog lovers and take in loads of stray dogs which you will find napping or wandering around the property. Here are some images from my cooking class, the farm and a few of the ruins nearby.
MomOk.i know I’m your mom and maybe a tad prejudiced, but I LOVE your photos! That one of the cook with that huge smile in front of all her red canning jars is priceless. Wouldn’t it be great to live there?? And what are those adorable animals allowing in the water…I want one for a pet.
