Alexandria and Mike met at a Fundraiser back in 2007. Their first official date was held at Serafina. They share a love for tennis, travel, wine, food, crossfit and various outdoor activities. Eventually they moved to the Eastlake neighborhood and Serafina and Cicchetti seemed like the perfect venue for their intimate Italian wedding which was originally going to be in Italy or France. Their wedding was held over labor day weekend. The weather was gorgeous and sunny. We ventured down to Pike Place Market for some pre-wedding portraits and then back to Serafina for the rest of the portraits and festivities. They honeymooned in Paris and Croatia.
Their proposal happened on Monday, December 27, 2010. It was two days after Christmas up at Whistler Village. The day was crisp and brisk and the sky was dumping elegant, soft snowflakes. After many long runs down the slopes later they were at a champagne tasting bar where ice enclosed their flutes filled with dazzling champagne. Then a snowy walk around the Olympic sculptures in the park , a walk across the bridge covering the frozen creek with colored Christmas trees and snow falling. Mike proposed at a small enclave overlooking the snow covered frozen creek. It was a romantic moment. Across the way people gave a thumbs up from a not too distant window at the brew pub. And a comment from a stranger… “That ring is like a small village on your hand.
