Angie and Cynthia found each other in Dallas, Texas in 1998 when they worked for the same company and shared mutual connections, including a trainer. They met in their company’s fitness center and soon discovered that they had more in common than running. After building a fast friendship they realized there was much more to their relationship. They ultimately concluded they wanted to build a life together and the journey truly began. After a couple of years in Dallas they moved to Atlanta, Georgia where they remained for almost 10 years. Four years ago, professional opportunities and their healthy sense of adventure took them to the Pacific Northwest.
Thanks to the recommendation of a colleague, Angie and Cynthia first experienced DeLille Cellars within their initial months in Seattle. What was to have been a simple hour wine tasting became a several hour opportunity to make new friends, experience some of Washington’s greatest wine and dream of being married in a picturesque place like the DeLille Chateau. The passing of Marriage Equality in Washington state marked a historic and joyous moment for the couple – their dream of being married would become a reality. Their late September afternoon wedding surpassed every expectation they had – a weekend long celebration including the love and support of so many family and friends. If you asked them, they would tell you how blessed they feel to have experienced what was, simply, the best day of their lives.
