David met Marta in 2011 on Match.com. They were very compatible but Marta had reconnected with someone she had previously dated. (At this point in the story, David chimes in “she dumped me”)
As one might have guessed that was a bad decision, but since she knew she had hurt David very much, she chose not to reconnect with him. The years passed, but she always thought of him. In November 2014, she sent him a “hey, how are you” email fully expecting to not hear from him. He did respond, and they got together for drinks on December 5, 2014 and basically have been together ever since. When asked, Marta said, “He really is the best man I’ve ever loved and know he feels the same way about me.”
Their 20’s themed wedding was gorgeous and creative. Everyone dressed the part in 20’s costumes. It was an elegant evening with the band Good Co. playing tunes. Everyone danced the night away.
